FAQs
WHY IS MY JEWELRY TARNISHING?
When any type of metal is exposed to air over a long period, it is likely to cause oxidization and turn a dark color, but don’t stress over it. It’s normal. To restore its original shiny look, simply use the complimentary polishing cloth that was included in your purchase. All you have to do is place your ring, bracelet, necklace, earring, or charm on the cloth and clean it in a gentle rotating formation until the item is polished and that’s it! Your favorite jewelry looks just like new!
HOW TO CLEAN AND MAINTAIN JEWELRY?
Polish your jewelry frequently with a polishing cloth. If one is not available use lukewarm water and dawn dish soap (preferably), clean thoroughly, and rinse, then pat dry and polish to maintain its shine. A reminder not to use any harsh abrasives when cleaning your jewelry. Avoid using cleaners as some chemicals can damage your jewelry. Note that our polishing cloths do not remove scratches, so make sure to handle the jewelry with care.
STORE JEWELRY IN A JEWELRY BOX?
Jewelry boxes are great for storing your jewelry separately, which prevents them from damaging other pieces.
REMOVE JEWELRY BEFORE SHOWERING?
You can shower, swim, and sleep with For Eternity Jewelry. However, it is recommended to remove them before such activities to prevent trapped moisture and help preserve their finish.
WILL THE ENGRAVING WEAR OFF? HOW TO CLEAN ENGRAVED JEWELRY?
We have tested the wear and care for engraving and has proven to be durable. However, any piece of jewelry is susceptible to wear and tear. Avoid leaving pieces exposed to the elements for long periods. Also cleaning pieces after use to remove dirt, grime, and oils from the skin is good practice to help preserve the engravings.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS PET-FRIENDLY?
Oh, it most certainly is. Our jewelry is for everyone! We do sell engravable dog tags making it pet-friendly.
